Summary: This document offers OCW site administrators and the creators of open educational resources (OER) some simple ways to improve the use of open content licenses.
There is a need to have such guidelines in order to mitigate some of the current incorrect open content licensing practices identified in our earlier review. The correct use of open content licenses provides users of open content with more safety and less uncertainty.
